Open from 1 March to 1 November, slow camping immersed in nature within the foothills of the Italian Apennines, 30 minutes from mountain or sea. Tents only (or small, groovy, campervans by appointment), and with strictly limited numbers, even in high season you can escape the crowds. If you don’t want to travel with all the kit, or if you’re new to camping, we have everything you could ever need here: cooking pots and pans, plates, cutlery, camping stoves… If we haven’t got it, we can probably find it! We even have a selection of tents available for hire at only €1 per night.
With our chilled outlook, stunning location, and all these added extras, Kokopelli Camping is so very much more than just camping.
Self Catering Options
For a slightly more comfortable camping experience, we have fully equipped, glamping-style, canvas tents for hire. These are ready erected and supplied with beds, rugs, lamps, bed linen and towels.
If camping really isn’t your thing, or you want to come off-season, we have a number of other options. These range from an en-suite, double room in our farmhouse at the campsite to a beautiful, old house that sleeps up to 8 people, set within 6 hectares of land.
With our passion for sharing our knowledge of the hiking, biking, climbing, running and exploring off the beaten track, anyone who stays with us will quickly find their way around and get to know the hidden heart of Abruzzo.
If you come in the winter, we have snowshoes available, and some great trails to explore.
For airports, Pescara is the closest (35 minutes) otherwise Rome is 2.5 hours.
For trains or buses, Chieti Scalo or Manoppello Scalo are our closest options and from here you can take a bus to our village of Serramonacesca. We can help out with advice on timetables if you need.
We also offer a pick up service from Pescara Airport, or Chieti/Manoppello stations.
