Camping with your own tent
Just pitch your tent, chill & relax. There are no electric hook ups, no marked out plots, just camping as nature intended. But, panic not, you don’t have to strip off, go unwashed or pee on the compost heap to be totally at one with nature. We do have some rather nice showers, toilets, cooking facilities, power points and wi-fi. And we would rather not see your dangly bits!
Camping in our tents
If travelling with all the paraphernalia of camping life is difficult for you, or you just fancy giving it a try, then why not hire one of our tents and equipment for just €1 per night? More info here.
Because of our location up a steep, narrow lane, we’re not really suitable for camper vans, but we do have two spaces that are accessible to small, VW-type camper vans. We can also hook you up with electricity if you like.
Glamp it up a bit
We have some gorgeous cotton canvas tents, including classic bell tents, a tepee, and a couple of delightful retro ridge tents. All 100% cotton canvas, and fully equipped with beds, bed linen and towels. These tents are luxury for two or spacious enough for a family. The canvas is breathable ensuring the tents stay cooler in high temperatures, but are also treated to ensure they are waterproof too. They have mosquito vents and a zipped in groundsheet to keep bugs at bay, allowing you to leave the door open on those balmy summer nights, or when you just want to lie in bed watching the twinkling lights of the stars and fireflies.
With these tents, all you need bring is your lovely selves, we’ll supply everything else: bed linen, towels, kitchen equipment and so on. We’re flexible on the linen and towels, so if you’d like to bring your own just let us know and we’ll happily reduce your costs a little.
Camping without camping: If camping really isn’t your thing, or you want to come in the cooler off-season months, we do have a very comfortable self-catering en-suite room in our farmhouse. It has a large double bed, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and wi-fi. All the outside living, sun terrace, BBQs, kitchen, communal barn and so on are available to you as if you were camping. This way, you get the best of both worlds.
Town House/B&B: newly renovated, fully centrally heated, 3 storey town house in the historic centre of Serramonacesca (3km from the campsite), ideal for a winter break. Two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a double bed-sitting room with wood burning stove, kitchen with open fireplace, and a small garden with a BBQ. All bedrooms have small balconies and stunning views across the Alento valley. Flexible accommodation for 2 – 6 persons on a self-catering or B&B basis.
